On Thursday 28th January, a cold but beautiful day, we set off for our walk to Woodgate Valley Country Park.
We didn’t see much wildlife, however, the birds were singing and rumour has it that Muntjac deer have been spotted there. It will be lovely to see the seasons change on our walks and although it was a little bare this time we are looking forward to the buds and blossom emerging. As we walked to the Visitor Centre the horses and ponies, in the fields, came to say hello, once we got to the centre a hot chocolate was a must to warm us up (whipped cream and marshmallows optional!)
Woodgate Valley Country Park has a lot to offer, a great play area and urban farm as well as the marked walks and wildlife. There is also a pony trekking centre in the park. It’s a great day out for a picnic or an hour to blow the cobwebs away.
